I am a digital storyteller, journalist, and writer from Oakland, California.

As I navigate the world of media, one thing remains true: community, learning, and love are at the center of my work. I believe journalism is at its best when it builds understanding, strengthens communities, and amplifies voices that are too often overlooked.

I am passionate about learning from and sharing the stories of underrepresented communities, whether through sports, culture, politics, or local reporting. My work has appeared in The Nation, The Dial Magazine, New York Amsterdam News, Stacks Magazine, and The Daily Californian, among other publications. Throughout my career, I have written features, opinion columns, editorials, cultural commentary, and reported on collegiate and national sports.

What I love most about journalism is immersing myself in the communities I cover. Whether interviewing Cal women's basketball standout Lulu Twidale or reporting on pro-LGBTQ Catholic ministries, I approach every story with curiosity and care, always striving to deepen both my own understanding and that of my readers.

I recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Media Studies with a minor in African American Studies while writing and editing for The Daily Californian.
